Do I need a prescription from my doctor in order to receive home medical equipment/supplies?

A written prescription from your physician is required for certain medical equipment and supplies, including oxygen services, nebulizers and sleep apnea therapy (CPAP/Bi-Pap). This helps to ensure that you receive the product(s) best suited to your needs and also allows us to bill your insurance company for the service(s) provided, when applicable. What are Salem Home Medical's store hours?

Our regular business hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. We are closed on most major holidays.

Do I need to schedule an appointment for my store visit?

You can visit Salem Home Medical anytime during our regular business hours, and one of our experienced customer service representatives will help you select the right products for your needs, assist you with your order and answer any questions you may have. However, if you need to speak with a respiratory therapist, it is strongly recommended that you schedule an appointment by calling the store at 330-337-9922.

My equipment is not functioning properly. Does Salem Home Medical do repairs?

If your equipment is not functioning properly, please contact our store at 330-337-9922. If you need assistance after our regular business hours, you may reach us through Salem Regional Medical Center's switchboard, by calling 1-800-589-5115.

Our skilled technicians will inspect your equipment and perform any necessary repairs. If a problem requires that your equipment be shipped directly to the manufacturer for service, we will provide you with "loaner" equipment until your repair is completed.

Is Salem Home Medical handicapped accessible?

Yes, handicapped parking is available near our store entrance, which is equipped with an automatic door opener.
